Trials giants won the podiums

After two days of tough competitions, Pars Trials Cup 2013 came to an end in 밪adossaltaneh� Monument in Qazvin. Rafael Pils (Germany) and Aurelien Fontenoy (France) respectively topped 20� and 26� categories.

First day of the race was held on 7th September, in qualification round with 12 riders in 20� and 8 riders in 26� and the following results were achieved:

20� (Qualifying Round):

1- Raphael Pils (GER) – 5 points
2- Zhao Xuan (CHN) – 3 points
3- Daniel Comas Riera (ESP) - 8 points
4- Mostafa Abbaszadeh (IRI) – 63 points
5- Mohammad Ali Hosseini (IRI) – 64 points
6- Mohammad Jamali (IRI) – 71 points
7- Mehdi Bahrami (IRI) – 73 points
8- Majid Beheshti (IRI) – 79 points
9- Morteza Nasirzadeh (IRI) – 79 points
10- Javad Rahimi Parsa (IRI) – 83 points
11- Farzad Reissi (IRI) – 85 points
12- Farid Fozouni (IRI) – 90 points

26� (Qualifying Round):

1- Thomas Mrohs (GER) – 5 points
2- Aurelien Fontenoy (FRA) – 6 points
3- Mart Martson (EST) – 15 points
4- Amir Mohammadinejad (IRI) – 46 points
5- Mohammadreza Azadi (IRI) – 47 points
6- Milad Naseri (IRI) – 67 points
7- Kaarel Urva (EST) – 75 points
8- Gholamreza Rezaei (IRI) – 84 points

On the second and final day (8 Sep 2013), the final round was held with 8 riders in 20� and 6 riders in 26� categories. Finally the following riders achieved the top 3 places:

20� (Finals):

GOLD - Raphael Pils (GER) 
SILVER - Zhao Xuan (CHN) 
BRONZE - Daniel Comas Riera (ESP)

26� (Finals):

GOLD - Aurelien Fontenoy (FRA)
SILVER - Thomas Mrohs (GER) 
BRONZE - Mart Martson (EST) 

This event was held in Iran for the first time and some Trials giants such as 밃urelien Fontenoy�, winner several medals in the UCI Trials World Championships and World Cups, 밆aniel Comas Riera�, 10 times winner of the World Championships, 밨aphael Pils�, 2 times winner of the UCI Junior World Championships, Thomas Mrohs (GER), Mart Martson (EST), Zhao Xuan (CHN) and Karrel Urva (EST) competed with 20 Iranian talented riders.

This was a great step towards promotion of the Trials Cycling in Iran and in Asia which was the first goal of the ACC Trials Committee Chaired by Mr. Asghar Khaleghi (S.G of the Cycling Federation of Iran). 

ACC Trials Committee뭩 plan is to support this race to be registered on 2014 UCI Trials Calendar and invite top Trials riders and maybe hold the 1st Asian Trials Championships in Iran soon.

All international riders were surprised and highly pleases by the great hospitality of Qazvin Cycling Association (chaired by Mr. Ganji) and enjoyed their stay in the historical city of Qazvin. They promised to be messengers of Qazvins� culture as well as their great Trials race in the Trials community in the whole world. 

Pars Trials Cup 2013 was held in 2 days in SADOSSALTANEH Monument in Qazvin.
