As the UCI Representative, Mr. Cho, Hee Wook, ACC President and UCI Vice President visited Beijing to watch the track competitions of the 3rd Round of the UCI Track World Cups, which were held in Laoshan Velodrome, China from 21st to 23rdJanuary, 2011.
During his stay in Beijing, he met Mr. Cai, Jiadong, President of Chinese Cycling Association (CCA) and other officials from CCA, and discussed about the future potential organizers of the UCI Track World Cups in Asia beyond 2012, which would be the last year of organizing the Track World Cup in China under its current contract with the UCI.
The discussions also covered the major issues to be raised at the 2011 ACC Congress and Management Committee Meetings in Bangkok in coming February. Mr. Choi, Boo Woong, Secretary General, ACC was out there to watch the races, especially Omnium, which would make a great debut at the London Olympic Games in 2012.
