A KOREAN TRAINER SUPPORTS BANGLADESH CYCLING TEAM FOR THE SA GAMES

Hyung Il, Kim, a former Korean national cycling team coach goes to Bangladesh, Organizer of the SAG on 28thDec 2009 to train the Bangladesh National Cycling Teams (Men & Women) for the 2010 South Asian Games (SAG) which will be held in Khula, Bangladesh from 30thJan to 1stFeb,2010.

Supported by the ACC solidarity committee chaired by Mr. Shoichi Iwadate (Japan), Kim will stay at Bangladesh for one and half months or so in a mission of training the Bangladesh road cycling teams composed of 4 men and 4 women. All the costs to be incurred for his air tickets, travel insurance and daily allowances will be paid by the Program, but the accommodation, meals and local transportations by the Organizer of the Games.

Kim뭩 career as a cyclist included Korean Sports University team rider, Korean national team track rider, professional keirin rider, and his career as a trainer included various level of teaching at Seoul City Team, and Korean national team. In 2008, he also spent several months in UK for studying in cycling and English language.

Back in 2006, ACC had supported a Korean Trainer (Mr. Cho, Kun Hang) to Sri Lanka in an ACC solidarity program to help the athletes of the Organizing NF (Sri Lanka) which hosted the 2006 SA Games in Colombo, bringing a few gold medals to its national cycling team.
