ASIAN RIDERS EMERGED AT BEIJING UCI TRACK WORLD CUP

The Asian riders and national cycling teams, most surprisingly, had made marvelous jobs at the UCI Track World Cup held at Beijing from 22nd through 24thJanuary, the No.4 events of the 2009-2010 UCI World Cup series by clutching 7 gold medals out of the 17 specialties competed at the Cup.

Outstandingly enough, the Chinese Cycling Team emerged front with 5 gold medals from men뭩 team sprint, men뭩 1 Km TT, women뭩 sprint, women뭩 team pursuit and women뭩 keirin races, while Awang, a sprinter from Malaysia got gold medal at men뭩 keirin. Kwok Ho Ting and Choi Ki Ho from Hong Kong  also finished madison with a gold medal.

As the UCI Representative for the 2009-2010 UCI Track World Cup Beijing, Mr. Cho, ACC President who watched the whole period of the 3-day뭩 tough races said, 뱓he great achievement proudly made at the Cup by these NFs affiliated to the ACC have made the future of the Asian cycling sport and its Olympic visions more bright and more realistic.�
