ACC New Management Board Elected at the 2013 ACC Congress

The 2013 ACC Congress attended by 32 NFs was convened at New Delhi on 12th March to re-elect Mr. Cho, Hee Wook as ACC President for the term 2013-2017 with the ACC Management Committee for the term of 2013-2017 consisted of as follows:

 -Alfred Li (Hong Kong China)
 -Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa (Bahrain)
 -Majid Ahmed Al-Naimi (Qatar)
 -Allen Chaizhunussov (Kazakhstan)
 -Lee Dae Hoon (Korea)
-Faisal bin Humaid Al-Qassimi (UAE)..Co-opted

The Congress also approved the following proposals made by the ACC MC (I) held on 11thMarch, just one day before the Statutory Congress Meeting at Le Meredien Hotel, New Delhi:
 
1.   To increase Co-opted Board Member from 3 to 4;
2.   To include a new clause 25.5 of the UCI Constitution in the ACC Constitution and By-Laws;
3.   Report of the ACC MC for 2012;
4.   To add 3 new NF (Kazakhstan, Oman and Thailand) to the 1st Group in the UCI Financial Obligations effective from 12th March 2013;
5.   To fix UCI/ ACC Affiliation Fees for 2013;
6.   To award ACC Merit to Mr. Alfred Li (HKG), Mr. Al-Qassimi (UAE), and Mr. Wahab (MAS) for their long and distinguished meritorious services at the ACC MC for more than 16 years respectively;
7.   To award the Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Pat McQuaid , UCI President for his special contribution to cycling in Asia;
8.   To award the Prize Money to the London Olympic Medalists from Kazakhstan, China & Hong Kong China, and also to the Paralympics Gold Medalists from China;
 
It elected 9 voting delegates who are to vote for Asia at the 2013 UCI Congress to be organized in Florence, Italy on 27 September. All the elected ACC MC Members were chosen as the voting delegates, and in the case that any vacancy, co-opted Bard Members would replace him (them) at the upcoming UCI Congress.
 
In his opening remarks, Mr. Cho, ACC President said that major priority placed as ACC President has been the internationalization or globalism of our Asian cycling and the expansion of the boundaries of our cycling sport in as many NF affiliated to the ACC as possible. At the invitation of the Mr. Cho, Mr. Pat McQuaid and Mr. Dhindsa welcomed all the national delegations to the Congress and the 2013 Asian Championships for Para-cycling, Road cycling and Track cycling of Elites and Junior. In particular, the UCI President mentioned that cycling in Asia has been rapidly growing in terms of the quality and quantity of the cycling races.
 
It was also determined that the next ACC Statutory Congress would be held in Astana, Kazakhstan during the 2014 Asian Track and Road Cycling Championships to be held in April and May 2014.
