10 Road Bikes & 5 BMX Bikes Await New Owners

As one of the 2009 ACC solidarity programs, 10 road bikes and 5 BMX bikes will be supported to ACC뭩 needy member national federations within this year.

The road bicycles were supported through the UCI solidarity program, whilst the 5 BMX bikes were prepared by the 2008 ACC solidarity committee chaired by Mr. Alfred Li (Hong Kong China).

The ACC Executive Committee decided the principles, based upon which the 10 road bikes and the 5 BMX bikes will find new owners as follows:

1. 10 Road Bikes: 
  -Only the National Federations with all their UCI/ACC membership fees in order are eligible for support of the bikes;
  -Maximum number of the bikes to be allocated for a NF will be no more than 4 bikes this time. 
  -The Secretary General, ACC will send a notification letter to each NF which meets the above-mentioned requirement for support of the bikes;
  -The applicants are supposed to write a letter or send an e-mail to the Secretary General Office no later than 30thNovember, 2009 requesting for their applications. The number of the bikes and the NFs which will receive them will be determined at the discretion of the ACC Executive Committee;
  -The transportation from the UCI to the final destination airport/harbor will be taken care of by the UCI;

2. 5 BMX Bikes:
  -Only the National Federations with all their UCI/ACC membership fees in order are eligible for support of the bikes;
  -The number of the bikes to be allocated for a NF will be 5 bikes this time. The number of the bikes and the NFs which will receive them will be determined at the discretion of the ACC Executive Committee;
  -The applicants are supposed to write a letter or send an e-mail to the Secretary General Office no later than 30thNovember, 2009 requesting for support of the bikes;

  -The transportation costs from Hong Kong China to the final destination airport /harbor will be taken care of by the recipient. Currently, the 10 bikes are kept at a bike shop in Hong Kong China.
